We are opening Edinburgh's newest brunch concept - think filled brioche, french toast and homemade hash browns. We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join that launch team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in food production and preparation, with a strong background in hospitality. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dishes, managing kitchen operations, and leading a team of culinary professionals to deliver outstanding dining experiences.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of food production and preparation to ensure high-quality dishes are served consistently.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to enhance their skills and performance.
* Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, food safety compliance, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop innovative menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
* Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all kitchen personnel.
* Assist in the recruitment and training of new kitchen staff, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
* Monitor food presentation and portion control to ensure consistency and quality in every dish served.
* Engage with guests to receive feedback on meals and adjust offerings based on customer preferences.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is essential.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests.
