About the role
As an expert in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking, your role will be to support Pharmacists and other Healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical services. You will work with both Primary and Secondary care health professionals, helping to improve community health outcomes. You will oversee and inspire the healthcare team to deliver patient-centred care, and support the training of support team members, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists. This role offers a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career with the UK’s largest pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer.
Your main duties will include
* Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions
* Final accuracy check of dispensed items before they are supplied to the patient, enabling Pharmacists to offer additional services
* Overseeing Dispensing Team Members when asked by the Responsible Pharmacist
* Involved in the preparation, supply, and checking of prescriptions, providing advice and support
* Taking medicine histories from patients and advising on treatment options
* Advising patients and coaching others on medicines, referring complex queries to Pharmacists as appropriate
What you’ll need to have
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and the recognized Accuracy Checking Qualification
* A passion for patient and customer care
* Ability to deliver high standards efficiently
* Experience in overseeing dispensing teams and supporting Healthcare Teams
* Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Comfort with digital technology and embracing new tools
* Commitment to continuous learning and development
