Project Manager – Defence Sector (Cranes & Lifting Systems)
We are a UK-based engineering powerhouse known for delivering complex mechanical handling systems in high-stakes environments. From kinetic architecture to bespoke crane solutions, we operate at the cutting edge—especially within the defence sector, where precision, safety, and reliability are non-negotiable.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to take the reins on mission-critical crane and lifting projects. Embedded within our defence business unit, you’ll be the driving force behind project delivery—connecting engineering, operations, and stakeholders to ensure every lift lands on time, on budget, and to spec.
What You’ll Do
* Plan & Execute: Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource schedules.
* Own the Interface: Be the go-to liaison between technical teams and defense stakeholders.
* Mitigate Risk: Spot issues before they arise and implement smart solutions.
* Lead Teams: Inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance outcomes.
* Control Quality & Cost: Ensure deliverables meet exacting standards while staying financially disciplined.
* Report & Communicate: Keep stakeholders informed with clear, concise updates and documentation.
* Drive Improvement: Champion smarter ways of working across the project lifecycle.
What You’ll Bring
* Proven leadership in complex engineering projects—ideally in cranes, lifting systems, or defence.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
* Technical awareness of control systems, networks, and mechanical interfaces.
* Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.
* Full UK driving licence (travel to client sites required).
