Description Salary: TA: £13.47 - £13.90 per hour / MDSA: £12.65 per hour Hours of work: 08:15 – 15:30, 5 days per week – (TA) 28 hours 45 minutes per week (MDSA) 5 hours pw. All about the role: A unique and rare opportunity has arisen to work as a Teaching Assistant at our happy, diverse and forward-thinking school. We are a welcoming and highly successful school, with children who are excited, eager to learn and behave wonderfully. We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant to join our fabulous team and support children’s learning and inclusion across the school. The role will involve working with pupils in class, in small groups, and occasionally on a 1:1 basis, helping children to access learning, build confidence, and develop independence. Key responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils’ learning in literacy, numeracy, communication, and social development Helping to adapt and scaffold learning activities so that all children can succeed Promoting positive behaviour, inclusion and emotional wellbeing Working closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to support individual needs and pupil progress Building warm, professional relationships with children, parents and colleagues Supporting the wider life of the school, including trips, enrichment activities and daily routines Administering minor first aid and contributing to a safe, nurturing environment We are looking for someone who: Is patient, kind, resilient and child-centred Has high expectations and a genuine belief in every child’s potential Enjoys working as part of a supportive and professional team Communicates clearly and positively with both children and adults Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children In return, we can offer: Wonderful children who are a joy to work with A welcoming and supportive staff team Training and professional development opportunities A school culture rooted in inclusion, ambition and care We warmly encourage prospective applicants to visit the school.
