Project Manager | Cut & Carve (Contract)
Location: London (Zone 1/2), site / officed based
Contract: 6-12 months, day rate
Day Rate: £ 400-£500 per day (depending on experience) outside IR35
About the Role
You will join a specialist contractor delivering major structural alteration and “cut & carve” works across high-profile London projects. You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of cut & carve work-streams including enabling, slab removals, core installations, concrete repairs, and refurbishment of existing buildings.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the delivery of cut & carve and structural alteration projects, ensuring programme, cost and quality targets are met
• Manage specialist subcontractors, temporary works strategies, site logistics and phasing in complex building environments
• Interface with the design team, client, site management and supply chain to drive safe, efficient delivery
• Monitor project financials, change-control, risk management and provide regular progress reporting
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, CDM, temporary works and site regulations
About You
• Proven experience managing cut & carve or heavy refurbishment projects in London or comparable markets
• Strong track record of delivering technically challenging schemes involving structural alteration, enabling works or major refurbishment
• Excellent programme management and stakeholder-management skills
• Confident in commercial awareness with ability to monitor cost/variations and drive value for the business
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black/Platinum) preferred; degree or equivalent in Construction
