About The Role
West Oxfordshire District Council is looking for an Economic Regeneration Lead to be the Councils strategic lead for the Carterton Area Strategy, playing a decisive part in shaping the future growth and prosperity of the area through the effective delivery of the strategy.
The role will be central to, with being exemplar at its heart, developing and delivering an Area Framework with key stakeholders and partners along with identifying and implementing an appropriate delivery vehicle.
You will be responsible for leading on both regeneration and Place Shaping of the Carterton area as well as overseeing significant planned economic growth and coordinating partners / developers to help attract significant inward investment to realise the £multi-million infrastructure needs and aspirations of existing and new communities.
You will need
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant profession
* Extensive (5 years plus) post qualification experience of leading and delivering economic regeneration initiatives and engaging with a range of organisations at a strategic level.
* Experience of large complex infrastructure delivery contracts
* Excellent management skills including the ability to delegate appropriately and proven project/programme management skills preferably with Prince 2 or equivalent experience.
