We're working with a number of welcoming schools in and around Sunderland that are looking to recruit SEND Support Assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs. These schools are committed to ensuring every child receives high-quality support and opportunities to succeed. Staff work together to create safe, nurturing and engaging learning environments where pupils can flourish. We're looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning. What you'll be doing • Supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs throughout the school day • Delivering targeted interventions and personalised support • Encouraging engagement and participation in classroom activities • Working closely with teaching staff and SENDCOs • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development • Monitoring progress and contributing to support plans What we're looking for • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs • A caring, patient and resilient nature • Strong communication and relationship-building skills • A positive and proactive attitude • Willingness to travel across Sunderland and nearby areas • A driving licence and access to a vehicle is advantageous but not required • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What you can expect from Protocol • Weekly PAYE pay • Ongoing support from a consultant who genuinely cares • Free CPD and online training opportunities All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
