JOB TITLE: Group Regulatory Policy Senior Manager – Corporate Affairs (Communications)
LOCATION(S): London
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our London office
About this opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Senior Policy professional to join our Group Corporate Affairs function to support our Group Regulatory policy team.
You'll be a skilled communicator with demonstrable experience of supporting communications on Regulatory Policy within a Financial Services background..
You’ll support us by co-ordinating our regulatory policy strategy and advocacy, working with colleagues across Lloyds Banking Group to provide constructive and timely input to the government and regulators.
Day to day you’ll be;
* Pro-actively identifying and defining regulatory policy priorities, views and engagement plans across your portfolio.
* Working with senior colleagues across the bank to provide insightful analysis on the impacts of regulation on the Group.
* Providing critical advice and guidance to senior leaders on regulatory issues.
* Strategically considering and planning how to engage externally with government, regulators, trade associations and professional services firms on the issues that matter to LBG.
* Drafting and communicating high-quality briefings, consultation responses, position papers, and committee papers.
* Horizon scanning and monitoring regulatory ideas, issues and debates externally, and updating internal partners on these at pace.
* Supporting work to collect data and evidence for use in our advocacy and on Cost Benefit Analysis.

What you’ll need
* Extensive experience and technical expertise from working on financial services regulation, which may include or arise from a specialist in a particular area. Recent experience of capital markets, pensions, insurance and investment is crucial.
* Highly collaborative approach with excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to a senior audience, and excellent organisational skills.
* A consistent track record of communicating confidently with high profile external stakeholders and to deliver counsel to colleagues and senior leaders in compelling and authoritative ways.
* A commitment to fostering diverse, inclusive and high-performance teams.
And any experience of these would be really useful
* Numeracy skills and being comfortable with interrogating and collating data.
* A willingness to work flexibly in a fast-paced environment to meet urgent requests from both internal and external partners.
