Role: Independent Prescribing Pharmacist
Location: London (W1U), hybrid working 1 day (minimum) per week from the office
Salary: £60,000 to £69,000 per annum

Schedule: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed & Fri, 9am-5:30pm (40 hours per week)

What you will be doing
* Provide a full range of medical services, practicing and prescribing independently. This comprises predominantly questionnaire based and algorithm‑assisted consultations, including telephone consultations.
* Share the case‑load with independent prescribing pharmacists, nurses, and doctors, all of whom hold similar consulting and prescribing responsibilities.
* Deliver compassionate care, upholding the highest standards of empathy, dignity and integrity.
* Contribute proactively to good clinical governance and quality improvement.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
* Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and, in line with internal guidelines, develop care plans.
* Complete clinically related administrative and non‑clinical duties needed for the delivery of the service.
* Provide counselling and health education.
* Refer and signpost patients for further opinions and interventions where required.
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Compile and issue computer‑generated prescriptions, and on extremely rare occasions hand‑write prescriptions if required.
* Prescribe in accordance with the Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor prescribing formulary when clinically appropriate.
* Identify, reflect on and prevent significant events and untoward incidents.
* Participate in teaching and education as required.
* Continue to monitor and review internal clinical guidelines to ensure they are updated according to national clinical guidelines, writing guidelines for new services.
* Review and write clinical content for internal and external communication.
* Active involvement in the research and development of services.
* Attend meetings and education sessions as deemed necessary.
* Ensure the complaints system is adhered to at all times.
* Ensure awareness and compliance with all relevant internal guidelines, e.g., data protection, confidentiality and health and safety.
* Attend training and events organised by Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor or other agencies when appropriate.

Who are we looking for?
* Independent Prescriber qualification
* GPhc registration
* Experience working in medicated weight loss
* Experience of effectively handling customer complaints
* Energetic and empathetic communication skills
* Excellent patient‑centred dispute management capabilities using first‑time resolution approach
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficient in applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams
* A well‑organised and motivated approach to work and tasks
