Job Purpose We have exciting growth plans and we are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help drive our expansion. In this role, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and developing new revenue opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with prospective clients. The main part of your role will be to call prospective clients, generate interest in our solutions, and secure new business appointments for our Business Development Managers by booking meetings directly into their diaries. You’ll be maximising opportunities from a CRM full of qualified leads, while also generating your own pipeline through proactive outreach. You will have access to leading industry publications, top business intelligence platforms, and high-value networking events to support your prospecting efforts. Your outreach will focus on prestigious hotels, restaurant groups, and other hospitality and retail businesses across the UK. This role is part of our Commercial Team and reports directly to the Sales Director. Key Responsibilities Outbound prospecting, including cold calling lists of target companies, sending personalised outreach emails, contacting prospects via LinkedIn, following up consistently to generate conversations Qualification of prospects by asking specific questions to understand their needs, budget, authority, decision-making process, challenges and timelines to ensure leads meet the criteria for progression to the sales team Booking of appointments for Sales Directors and Account Executives Engaging with customers and obtaining the relevant information Management of sales leads in HubSpot Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all written and verbal communication to clients, prospects and suspects Maintaining individual product knowledge and promoting products and services Managing your own pipeline and updating your Manager with appointment leads Initial introduction of the company brand, products and services available to potential customers Researching organisations to identify new sales leads and contacting potential customers Organising, managing and maintaining your own workload Manage and track client and transactional information in a CRM system and provide weekly reports Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products Participate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care Manage relationships effectively within the company, internal/external stakeholders, clients and suppliers, maintaining efficient and appropriate communication with all parties Knowledge & Skills Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced sales role Demonstrable success in hitting booked and sat appointment targets Exemplary diary management and organisational skills Ability to close the sale both over the phone and via technical proposal An inquisitive approach to every lead A genuine thirst for learning & keeping abreast of industry news Excellent time management skills and ability to manage your day effectively Exemplary administration, organisation and written skills Strong negotiation and follow up communication skills Experience of working with CRM systems & general data management protocols Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate key points concisely without over-complication Why Join Us If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy working alongside passionate, like-minded people, you’ll feel right at home here.
