Salary: £120 to £150 per day
Main Duties & Responsibilities
TeacherActive are delighted to collaborate with a mixed co-ed school currently searching for a dedicated long-term Science Teacher. The school holds an ‘GOOD’ rating from OFSTED, excellent transport links, and offers convenience staff car parking. The appointed Science teacher will play a vital role in enhancing the Science department across three Key Stages, embody the school’s ethos and vision, adhere to educational developments, and ensure high standards of teaching and learning.
This position presents the opportunity for permanency, focusing on Key Stage 3 / KS3 initially, with the potential to extend to Key Stage 5 / KS5. Responsibilities include exam preparation and encouraging a career mindset and employability. Additional duties for the successful Science Teacher will involve contributing to the school’s science curriculum, maintaining subject expertise, and supporting pupil standards in a personal and academic capacity.
The successful Science Teacher will have:
QTS with Science specialism [Experience in Physics, Biology and/or Chemistry]
Experience teaching Physics, Biology and/or Chemistry up to Key Stage 5 / KS5
Exceptional classroom presence and management
