An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highway Permit Coordinator to join a busy client in the Lancashire area, managing and coordinating the streetworks permitting process using Symology Aurora.
Main duties of the Highway Permit Coordinator include:
* Processing, submitting, and monitoring permit applications for streetworks and highway activities via Symology Aurora.
* Liaising with internal teams, contractors, utility companies, and local authorities to coordinate and schedule works.
* Ensuring all applications comply with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and local authority requirements.
* Managing and maintaining accurate records of permit statuses, conditions, and communications within the Symology system.
* Monitoring and managing permit timelines to avoid FPNs and non-compliance penalties.
* Preparing reports on permit performance, compliance issues, and key KPIs.
* Supporting the Streetworks or Highways Manager in audits and inspections as required.
* Responding promptly to requests for information, notices, and updates from stakeholders.
* Staying up to date with changes in legislation, best practices, and system updates.
