New Job Opportunity - Assistant Planner - Inside IR35 Contract - Based in Glasgow

Rate: Negotiable dependent on experience
Hybrid: 3 days in office (Tues-Thursday) 2 days from home (Mon & Fri)
Essential experience: Experience working NEC Contracts and Primavera P6
Role Purpose:
To support the Project Team in developing, managing, monitoring and reporting on project plans and programmes. The role provides direct assistance to the Project Planner and Planning Manager to ensure accurate, high-quality programme control and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the production of comprehensive project programmes.
• Assist the Planner in maintaining and updating schedules.
• Carry out programme quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Undertake programme housekeeping tasks including coding, calendar management and milestone reviews.
• Support month-end updates and reporting activities.
• Provide planning support to the wider project team as required.
• Undertake any other programme-related duties as directed by the Planner, Senior Planner or Planning Manager.
Position Requirements:
Essential Skills & Experience
• Experience using planning software, ideally Primavera P6.
• Experience in planning roles on small to medium, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Experience in monthly programme updates and schedule management.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders.
• Self-motivated with a proactive and enthusiastic approach.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Educated to Diploma level (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working with Primavera P6.
• Experience of working on NEC contracts.
