You will be involved in a wide range of projects including countryside infrastructure, environmental civils, vegetation management, woodland works and grounds maintenance, often within sensitive and challenging environments.
Depending on your experience, you will either:

Where This Role Fits This role supports the safe and efficient delivery of countryside infrastructure, vegetation management and environmental land management works.
You will be working at the point where plans meet delivery, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Those with leadership experience will take responsibility for coordinating teams, plant and materials. Those earlier in their career will support delivery while developing their skills.
Key Responsibilities You will be involved in a wide range of practical site works, including:
Drainage works
Pond, lake and river works
Footpaths and access routes
Boardwalk construction
Fencing installation
Minor concrete works
Gabion walling
Access improvements
Vegetation management and scrub clearance
Grass cutting, strimming and hedge cutting
Tree and woodland management
Habitat creation and restoration
Groundworks and landscaping
Additional responsibilities may include:
Leading site teams and allocating daily tasks
Delivering site briefings and toolbox talks
Working in line with RAMS and job specifications
Maintaining high standards of health and safety and environmental protection
Liaising with clients, landowners and management
Completing site records and reports
Supporting and mentoring team members
Experience and Skills Required Experience
You may have experience in:
Environmental contracting
Grounds maintenance
Landscaping or civils
Woodland or forestry work
Fencing or countryside infrastructure
Experience leading teams is desirable for higher level candidates.
Qualifications You should hold a full UK driving licence.
Relevant tickets and qualifications may include:
Plant tickets, excavator or dumper
Chainsaw qualifications, such as CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39
Brushcutter and strimmer tickets
Chipper qualification
PA1 and PA6 spraying
CSCS card
First Aid or Forestry First Aid
SSSTS or SMSTS for leadership level roles
Equivalent experience will be considered.
