We’re looking for a motivated Graduate Teaching Associate to support teaching, assessments, and student engagement across our Business Management programmes. Perfect for graduates, early career professionals, or anyone looking to start a career in teaching, academic coordination, exams/assessment support, or HE administration.
You will support the delivery of engaging and high-quality teaching across our Business programmes, while benefiting from structured training, mentoring, and professional development to build your skills as an educator. This role offers a clear pathway for progression into a Lecturer position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Teaching & Learning Support
1. Contribute to the delivery of teaching sessions across Business Management programmes (Levels 4–6).
2. Assist with preparing lesson plans, teaching resources, and digital learning materials.
3. Co-deliver or independently deliver teaching sessions with guidance.
4. Use varied teaching methods and digital tools to support student learning.
5. Deliver sessions in-person and/or online as required.
6. Provide academic support through tutorials, drop-in sessions, and workshops.
2. Assessment & Exams Support
7. Support the preparation and administration of assessments and coursework.
8. Assist with marking, moderation, and feedback (training provided).
9. Learn and follow internal quality assurance and assessment procedures.
10. Help coordinate assessment schedules and maintain accurate academic records.
3. Student Support & Engagement
11. Build positive rapport with students and support their academic progress.
12. Promote student attendance, engagement, and participation.
13. Contribute to an inclusive, positive, and supportive learning environment.
14. Participate in academic reviews, monitoring, and student welfare processes.
4. Academic Coordination & Administration
15. Assist Programme Leads with timetabling, module coordination, and academic planning.
16. Support the delivery of onboarding, inductions, and academic events.
17. Collaborate with Exams, Registry, and Student Support teams.
18. Maintain accurate documentation in line with institutional standards.
5. Professional Development
19. Engage in structured mentoring and internal training programmes.
20. Work toward a recognised teaching qualification (HEA Fellowship, PGCert, or equivalent).
21. Develop academic, pedagogical, and administrative skills.
22. Attend team meetings, CPD sessions, and institutional training.
6. General Responsibilities
23. Uphold policies relating to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and health & safety.
24. Maintain professionalism and act as a positive role model for students.
25. Contribute to a collaborative and supportive academic team culture.
Requirements
Essential Criteria
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Interest in teaching, academic administration, assessments, or student support.
* Willingness to learn, grow, and develop within Higher Education.
* Strong organisational and teamwork abilities
Desirable Criteria
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline.
* Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training.
* Experience in academic administration, assessments, or student support.
* Familiarity with virtual learning environments (e.g., Moodle, Teams).
* Interest in progressing toward an academic or HE professional role
