An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Lung Cancer Patient Navigator.
You will support the Respiratory Service to coordinate the lung cancer pathway, ensuring a seamless, patient‑centred journey. The role involves working directly and indirectly with patients and their carers, capturing information, and maintaining accurate records on the Trust systems.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate the lung cancer pathway, streamlining processes and ensuring they revolve around the patient’s individual needs.
* Capture and manage patient information, ensuring it is up‑to‑date and accurately recorded.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and support services to facilitate the patient journey.
* Maintain high communication and organisational standards, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
* Good knowledge and understanding of patient pathways in a clinical setting.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
* Experience in a healthcare or patient navigation role is desirable but not essential.
This is a 12‑month fixed post, funded by the current scheme.
