Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for our clients, whether they are residing in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or receiving home care.
Duties
* Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility assistance.
* Engage in behaviour management and provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being.
* Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or manager.
* Foster a supportive relationship with clients and their families, ensuring open communication regarding care plans.
* Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in patient care, including Alzheimer's and dementia care.
Experience
* Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with senior care practices and first aid certification is preferred.
* Experience in caregiving roles that involve child care or home care settings will be considered an asset.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for positions requiring transportation of clients.

Pay: £13.50-£15.18 per hour
