DevOps Engineer – Monitor
Redgate is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our central DevOps function with an initial focus on Redgate Monitor. The role involves improving CI/CD, build and release processes, infrastructure automation, and operational visibility. You will work closely with Monitor engineering teams, Technical Operations, Security and Support.
Responsibilities
* Improve delivery systems and reduce toil across production environments.
* Design, operate, and enhance CI/CD pipelines and build systems, understanding branching strategies and pipeline performance.
* Provision and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and AWS core services, including IAM and security best practices.
* Automate tasks with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or C#) to eliminate manual effort.
* Implement operational visibility through metrics, logging, alerting, and dashboards.
* Coach and guide engineering teams, sharing knowledge and improving standards.
* Communicate effectively with engineers, operations, security, and support stakeholders across teams.
Qualifications
* Commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or closely related roles.
* Track record of improving delivery systems in production environments.
* Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines and build systems.
* Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and AWS services.
* Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or C#).
* Understanding of operational visibility – metrics, logging, alerting, dashboards.
* Enabler mindset: coach, guide, and improve team processes.
* Excellent communication across technical stakeholders.
