Job Advert Log Yard Operator, Wheeled Loader and Bucket Driver * Based Fort William, PH33 7AP * Rotating Shifts, 6am-3pm/3pm-1am (42.5hours p/w) Based at our Fort William sawmill, you will be specifically driving a Wheeled Loader with Bucket, you will be working within a team and individually. Specifically, some responsibilities of a Log Yard Operator include: * Operating a wheeled loader with a Bucket. * Loading Wood chip, bark and sawdust. * Movement of logs using 360 material handler and wheeled loader. * Unloading of log wagons. * Operation of weighbridge: booking in/out sawn goods, logs and coproducts as well as controlling incoming site traffic movements. About you: We are looking for a motivated individual who is production focussed and has the ability to meet deadlines. In addition, you’ll have; * Experience using heavy mobile plant would be preferred but is not essential as full training can be provided. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Be flexible and work well as part of a small team. * A high level of organisational skills and attention to detail. * Appreciation of quality and Health & Safety. * Full Drivers Licence.
