About the Role
You'll work within a purpose-built day centre and in the local community, supporting adults with learning and/or physical disabilities, who may use wheelchairs, be nonverbal, or have complex support needs.. Every day is unique - one day you might be helping someone bake, paint, or garden, and the next you could be supporting them on a trip to the zoo or theatre.
You'll help people develop new skills, gain confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences both in the centre and out in the community.
Typical duties include:
* Supporting individuals with daily activities and personal goals
* Providing personal care, assistance with meals, and administering medication (with training)
* Facilitating group sessions and offering 1:1 support for people with complex needs
* Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing
* Bringing your own hobbies and creativity to make every day enjoyable and engaging
You'll also have access to fantastic facilities including sensory spaces, craft and kitchen areas, a hydrotherapy pool and an accessible gym- all designed to help the people we support thrive.
