About the Role
Shropshire is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Case Management Team on an initial 3-month contract. This role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to support children and families at key stages of intervention.
Location: Shropshire Contract: 3 months initially Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week in the office Pay Rate: £30.57 per hour (umbrella)
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a complex caseload of children and families under Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Pre-Proceedings (PLO) and court proceedings
* Undertake statutory home visits and direct work with children and families
* Attend and contribute to core group meetings, strategy discussions and multi-agency forums
* Prepare high-quality court reports and maintain accurate case records
* Work in line with statutory guidance, local policies and best practice standards
Essential Requirements
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Significant experience working with CIN, CP, PLO and court work
* Strong assessment, report writing and case management skills
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team
