Hours: 45 per week (07:30 - 17:30)
Rate: £28 per hour (Umbrella)
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Civils Operative (360° Excavator Operative) to support construction works at the Pembroke 400kV Substation. This role is essential for civil works, drainage, and ducting installations as part of a major energy infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate various sized 360° excavators safely and efficiently
Install surface and foul water drainage, including oily water systems
Install HV & LV ducting and draw pits
Install HV & LV precast troughs
Undertake excavations, blinding, and concrete placement to foundations
Reinstatement of excavations including backfill and compaction
Follow all site health, safety, and environmental proceduresEssential Requirements:
Proven experience operating 360° excavators
Experience with drainage, ducting, and civil foundation works
Ability to work safely on a high-voltage substation site
Full PPE (must be in place before attending site)Desirable Skills:
NPORS or CPCS above 10 tonnes
NPORS or CPCS below 10 tonnes
Lifting operations experience
National Grid Persons (NG Persons)
Manual Handling certificationAdditional Information:
45 hours per week, 07:30 - 17:30
Umbrella payment only
Temporary full-time contract
IR35 pre-assessment completed
