Job Summary
Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with reporting deadlines, and providing support for audit processes. This role includes supervising one team member responsible for purchase and sales ledgers, as well as bank transactions. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing month-end financial statements and contributing to the development of annual budgets.
Responsibilities
1. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in all financial records.
2. Strong balance sheet controls including inventory review and control
3. Review and reconcile sales, orders, and backlog to ensure financial integrity.
4. Process credit cards, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments efficiently.
5. Conduct margin reviews to ensure profitability analysis.
6. Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
7. Prepare weekly sales and order book reports for management review.
8. Compile year-end audit documentation to support external audit requirements.
9. Understand local SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative expenses) and contribute to annual budget preparation.
Basic Qualifications
10. Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
11. Financial Controlling background desirable, with a strong foundation for compliance and accuracy.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modelling.
13. Knowledge of SAP & SAGE 50 accounting software is desirable
14. Must have experience closing manging the full P&L and balance sheet of a company
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Hybrid – 3 days in the office
