We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Prep School SENDCO to join our team for three days per week. This is an exceptional opportunity for a developing professional to gain valuable experience under the guidance of our Whole‑School Director of SEND and Prep leadership team, within a warm, supportive, and forward‑thinking school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Leadership & Coordination
o Support SEND provision across the Prep School under the guidance of the SEND Director and Prep leadership team, contributing actively to whole school strategy and inclusive practice.
o Lead and manage a small team of LSAs, ensuring their effective deployment and professional development.
o Work closely with class teachers to embed high‑quality teaching and tailored support for pupils with a wide range of needs.
* Pupil Support & Intervention
o Provide direct and small‑group support, including behaviour management and emotional regulation.
o Conduct formal and informal observations to inform support planning and referrals.
o Collect evidence to track intervention impact through follow‑up observations.
* Communication & Partnership
o Provide guidance to teachers on differentiation and inclusive strategies.
o Collaborate on assessments, pupil progress reviews, and staff CPD.
o Contribute to EHCP processes and annual reviews.
* Behaviour, Inclusion & Pastoral Support
o Support behaviour management and emotional regulation.
o Help embed SEND into curriculum planning and support inclusive teaching.
* Administration & Record Keeping
o Maintain accurate SEND records on the school's information system.
o Track progress, monitor intervention effectiveness, and ensure statutory compliance.
