The Team

The U.K. & Ireland is our domestic and most mature market. Teams include commercial, operations, marketing, and strategy. These teams partner with global departments such as product, technology, and consumer.

The Regional Growth team manages the commercial output of our mid-market restaurant partners across the five nations of the U.K. and Ireland, including dark kitchens, Editions, and the Chinese Category Team. Each region has its own complexities and opportunities, focusing on offering the best selection to customers and growth opportunities for restaurants.


The Role

We are seeking a City Manager to join our South England team. You will build relationships with restaurant partners in Oxford, Newbury, and Basingstoke, enhance our customer proposition, and identify growth opportunities. This role is ideal for someone skilled in relationship building and data-driven insights. You will report to the Regional Manager for South England and be based at the London office.


What you'll do:

* Become the local expert for your cities/areas, understanding the restaurant industry thoroughly and representing Deliveroo locally.
* Utilize data insights to enhance our customer offerings neighborhood by neighborhood.
* Manage top restaurant partners, leading negotiations and optimizing their performance on Deliveroo for growth.
* Collaborate with Account Managers in your area to support local hero brands.
* Identify and onboard new popular local restaurants, setting them up for success.
* Lead local Business Development Managers, providing coaching, prioritization, and deal-making support.
* Develop local sales strategies by identifying key value gaps and focus areas.
* Improve our local customer offerings through knowledge of the area, optimizing restaurant operations, and working with regional teams on strategic planning.
* Maximize marketing opportunities by encouraging restaurant participation.


Requirements

* Proven experience in account/relationship management, sales, or strategy roles.
* Results-driven and target-oriented.
* Ability to analyze data related to restaurant performance and local market dynamics.
* Flexible working pattern: 2-3 days in the field and 2-3 days remote or in the office.
* Preferably hold a UK driving license and have access to a car.
