Overview
Ward Durlston in Poole hospital is a 15 bedded Gastroenterology unit which looks after patients with a variety of conditions. We have a diverse patient group ranging from teenagers to the elderly, meaning that your day is always varied and interesting. We are a close knit team looking for a dedicated and passionate registered nurse to join us.
Responsibilities
* Provide high level care in GI beds with special monitoring for patients with GI bleeding.
* Support teaching and supervision of student nurses using the CLIP method; students are on shift seven days a week and the service follows a different student placement structure.
* Contribute to a fun, friendly team aiming to provide high quality patient care. Staff are encouraged to uphold the motto: WeAlways strive toReliablyDeliverOutstandingNursing care toEveryone.
* Work within a competency framework/training programme to develop the ability to nurse in the GI Bay, including IV assessment, blood transfusions, male catheterisation, CVAD management, venepuncture, cannulation and ILS training.

* Active UK NMC Registration.
