About the role:
Our Support Services are always on hand to offer advice and guidance to colleagues across our business. Our busy and reliable Payroll Team are a key part of this, working together to provide comprehensive payroll service to colleagues across the Society. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Systems Consultant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract, based at our Support Centre in Lincoln. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and enhancing the iTrent payroll system through project delivery, system maintenance, and user support. Some of your duties will include:
1. Support iTrent payroll projects, managing timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation.
2. Provide UAT support, technical troubleshooting, and ongoing system maintenance to keep iTrent running smoothly.
3. Create and communicate payroll process documentation, ensuring clarity and consistency across teams.
4. Deliver training and guidance to users, improving system knowledge and effective utilisation.
5. Analyse payroll data and workflows to drive efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement while collaborating with HR, Finance, and IT.

About You
We're looking an honest, reliable, and motivated person who has a keen eye for detail and dependable organisational skills. If you have previous experience of payroll system management, particularly, iTrent, we'd love to hear from you. Additionally, we'd love to see:
6. Strong understanding of payroll processes and practices, including end-to-end processing, statutory payments, RTI, and new starter processing.
7. An in-depth knowledge of payroll and absence calculations within iTrent, and the ability to improve the efficiency of existing iTrent calculations and processes.
8. System knowledge within iTrent, including completing audits and identifying system errors.
9. Experience of setting up and implementing payrolling benefits.
10. Knowledge of Business Objects reporting, with the ability to build and develop reports in line with business need.
