Were looking for a proactive and people-focused Engagement Officer to promote our Adult Education Budget programmes across the region. In this role, youll build strong relationships with local employers, communities, and referral partners to support recruitment needs while helping residents gain qualifications and long-term employment. Youll be confident engaging with partners, driving learner referrals, matching candidates to opportunities, and supporting them through the recruitment journey with CV, interview, and career advice.

What youll do
Work towards set targets for learner referrals as per contractual requirements
Build strong links with local communities, local employers and external agencies promoting Standguides services to maximise referrals within our target areas
Ensure relationships with JCP, partners and referral partners are maintained and developed for future business opportunities
Ensure that each learner is guided and supported to commence the programme and all relevant documentation is accurately completed
Identify local vacancies, volunteer or placement opportunities and develop employer relations
Match learners to vacant roles based on requirements of qualifications and skills
Help applicants to prepare for interviews; offer CV, interview and general career information, advice, and guidance.
What youll need
Level 2 English & Maths as a minimum
Demonstrable knowledge of the Local Labour Market
Knowledge of DWP & SFA contracts
Experience of dealing with a wide range of unemployed customers and young people
Knowledge of external agencies e.g., housing, community agencies, local training providers etc
Demonstrable experience of working to and achieving set targets for both referrals and starts
Ability to deal with employers and understand their recruitment processes
Clean driving licence and full-time access to car as this role requires travel.
Overseas equivalent qualifications will be accepted.
