Job Title: Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Job Purpose: As a Lecturer in Health and Social Care, you will design, develop, and deliver teaching materials for undergraduate students. This role involves ensuring high-quality educational experiences, aligning with institutional goals, and contributing to research and practice in the field. You will also guide students, support field activities, and foster collaborative learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Curriculum Development:
* Deliver engaging lectures and seminars across core modules.
* Develop and revise curriculum materials to meet current industry standards.
* Apply varied teaching techniques to meet diverse student needs.
1. Student Assessment & Support:
* Supervise student projects, internships, and placements.
* Develop assessment methods and provide feedback.
* Support students academically and pastorally as a personal tutor.
2. Research & Scholarship:
* Engage in scholarly activities and research projects.
* Publish findings and seek research funding.
* Establish links with health and social care providers.
* Represent the institution at conferences.
3. Administrative & Quality Assurance:
* Handle academic duties like admissions and timetabling.
* Ensure course content complies with quality standards.
Person Specification:
* Qualifications: Master's degree in Health and Social Care or related; PhD preferred. Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one; PGCert desirable.
* Experience: Teaching experience in higher education; practical sector experience preferred; research engagement advantageous.
* Skills: Strong communication, adaptability, sensitivity to student needs.
