Autism Practitioners (Support Workers) – Tayside Area Services
Full Time and Part Time positions available, including small, flexible contracts.
Pay Scale: Starting at £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.82 after probation, with opportunity to progress to £13.30 at your own pace.

An opportunity to join our Tayside outreach team. We are looking for team players with excellent communication skills and an ability to think creatively to promote community participation and independence.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement personalised support plans for the supported person.
* Build positive relationships with the supported person.
* Work in partnership with the supported person, their family, support network and health professionals.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the person’s life goals and aspirations are central to their support.
* On a day-to-day basis, enable people to make informed choices using their preferred communication methods.
* Support participation in chosen activities, attending local events, shopping, holidays, etc., and accompany supported individuals to places of interest.
* Complete tasks to maintain homes (e.g., paying bills) and help individuals make decisions that matter to them.
* Support living as independently as possible, including various life skills and possible personal care.
Requirements
* A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential; licensed drivers help expand opportunities for community engagement.
* PVG Disclosure check and registration requirements: All new employees must apply to register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 3 months of starting and be registered within 6 months. Scottish Autism covers PVG and SSSC registration costs.
