The Opportunity

As a Senior Civil & Structural Technician at BakerHicks, you’ll jump into exciting projects across multiple sectors, collaborating with an enthusiastic team of engineers and technicians. You’ll put your skills to work on medium-sized projects where precision matters — crafting high-quality, detailed design packages using the latest industry-standard software and information management techniques.
You’ll take ownership of the quality and completeness of all drawn information on your projects, lead document control, and champion BIM integration within your team.
But you won’t just produce designs — you’ll manage other CAD technicians, mentor junior staff, and drive continuous improvement in our CAD and BIM processes.
About You
✔️ HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, accredited with ICE/EngTech TMICE or TIStructE
✔️ Pro at AutoCAD 2D & 3D; working knowledge of Autodesk Revit? Even better!
✔️ Confident producing 2D & 3D civil/structural deliverables from concept to fully coordinated detailed design
✔️ Solid knowledge of traditional building materials — steel, timber, concrete — and experience with RC detailing, site infrastructure, and earthworks
✔️ Eligible for security clearance & airside pass applications
✔️ Hold a full UK driver’s licence
