Job Description
This role in the National Portfolio Management Office will support allocating funding for a programme within our wider investment portfolio to ensure effective use of resources to achieve flood outcomes. Responsibilities include working with team members and external partners, seeking technical input, and collaborating with local teams to manage allocations. The role also involves ensuring programmes are well-managed and supporting activities to improve outcomes.

The Team
The team allocates funding to Flood and Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) investment programmes and manages performance at the portfolio level to meet goals such as better community protection from flooding. We value collaboration, development, wellbeing, and inclusion.
This role is based in the FCRM National Directorate within the Portfolio Management Assurance and Commercial team.
Experience and Skills Required
* Methodical working and attention to detail
* Ability to prioritize and manage workload
* Calm under pressure and proactive in problem-solving
* Strong relationship-building skills
* Proficiency in Excel, GIS data mapping, dashboards, and Power BI
* Experience managing portfolios or working in programme environments (preferred)
* Excellent communication skills, including PowerPoint

Location: Hybrid role with no fixed base, occasional travel to London, Birmingham, and Bristol.
