We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them achieve their full potential.
In this role, you will work closely with class teachers to deliver engaging learning activities, provide individual and small-group support, and create a positive, nurturing classroom environment. You may also support pupils with additional needs or specific learning requirements.
Position: Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Barnoldswick
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher in delivering high‑quality lessons and activities
* Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
* Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
* Provide support for pupils with additional needs (academic, social, or emotional)
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, including playground duties and school events
About You

* A strong communicator with excellent teamwork skills
* Organised, reliable, and willing to take initiative
* Positive and creative in your approach to learning
* Experienced in a school setting (desirable, not essential)
* Qualified to Level 2 or 3 in Teaching & Learning / Childcare (desirable)
