Senior Research Associate - Navigating Neural Overload: Decoding Cortical Hyperexcitability and Aberrant Perceptions in the Visual Cortex - 0863-25
The Department of Psychology at Lancaster University is seeking a senior post‑doctoral research associate to work on this 4‑year project funded by UKRI (BBSRC) led by Dr Jason J Braithwaite. The research focuses on cortical hyperexcitability and aberrant visual perceptions.

The role involves designing, programming, and conducting computer‑based experiments to assess cortical excitability in observers, and applying multi‑channel transcranial direct‑current brain stimulation (MtDCS) across studies. The candidate will administer trait‑based measures of susceptibility to aberrant perceptions and is responsible for recruiting participants, developing experimental designs, data analysis, dissemination (presentations and journal articles), and impact activities.
You Will
* Have programming skills for running computer‑based experiments.
