We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SEND Admin Assistant to join the Additional Support Team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA).
This is a permanent 35‑hour per week position (term time only plus 5 INSET days). The starting salary is £22,710 (full‑time equivalent £26,403, Grade 4).
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high‑level administrative support to the SEND department and the Targeted Additional Support Team.
* Maintain accurate manual and computerised records, produce reports and statistics.
* Draft letters and communicate with parents and external agencies.
* Collate and analyse data, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
* Arrange meetings, coordinate events and take high‑quality minutes.
* Respond independently to correspondence where appropriate.
* Support pupil welfare, including first aid and liaising with parents (training provided).
* Maintain effective links with the main school administration team.
* Manage stationery supplies and departmental resources.
* Use ICT systems such as Word, Excel, databases, email and internet systems.
* Support wider school administrative duties, including examination invigilation where appropriate.
Requirements
* Proactive, highly organised and self‑motivated.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage with parents, colleagues, students and external professionals.
* Strong ICT and administrative skills, capable of maintaining accurate records, producing reports and meeting deadlines.
* Commitment to professional development and a supportive environment.
* Experience in an administrative role within a SEND or education setting (desirable).
