AIG UK Underwriting Business Operations is an exciting and dynamic business area at AIG. The Underwriting Business Operations team is the intersection between our underwriting activity and the servicing of our business, ensuring we are delivering our promises to our brokers and clients. The team prioritises building strong relationships throughout the organisation to provide the best outcome for our internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
* Professionally handle incoming calls from existing customers, completing enquiries, and taking all necessary actions in a professional and service focused approach
* Take responsibility for all customer requests, ensuring action and follow up within the agreed service level
* Handle mid‑term adjustments within agreed authority
* Support the Technical Underwriters on more complex and/or non‑standard cases within agreed authority
* Recognise and convert opportunities to introduce other AIG products to existing customers
* Consistently achieve individual performance targets
* Effectively liaise with appropriate representatives of other departments to resolve customer enquiries
* Practice customer care by providing accurate information to customers at all times
* Ensure excellent product and system knowledge is maintained
* Ensure all relevant systems are updated accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service and administrative skills, ideally within an office environment
* A proactive team player
* Demonstrates drive and a can‑do attitude with the ability to adapt to change
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
