Job overview
We seek clinicians from various professional backgrounds with experience managing Children and Young People in crisis. The role focuses on urgent mental health risk assessment, safety planning, and supporting young people admitted to acute trusts, facilitating their transition to the community.
The team operates 24/7 with shift rotations including days, earlies, lates, and nights. Flexible working options are available.
Main duties of the job
* Conduct urgent mental health risk assessments and collaborate with agencies for safety planning.
* Support young people's admission and transition processes.
* Manage the crisis team phone line, referrals, and escalations.
* Chair safety huddles and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Support decision-making and signposting; act as SCOD for the Intensive Home Treatment Team.
* Attend escalation, child protection, and multi-agency meetings.

Additional information
This role requires a minimum of two years post-qualification experience, professional registration (e.g., nursing, occupational therapy, social work), a valid driving license, and willingness to travel across Kent.
Applicants should demonstrate risk management skills, good communication, computer literacy, and experience as a Band 7 clinician.
