Senior Full Stack Developer
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer to develop modular web components enabling both user input and analytical interrogation. If you have a strong coding background and a knack for DevOps and Cloud infrastructure, this one could be for you!
There are two core disciplines: Engineering – tasked with collecting, validating and delivering data and split between architecture, stack and delivery; and Advanced Analytics – tasked with using data analysis methodologies including predictive modelling, machine learning algorithms, process automation and other methods to impact process and split between science, journalism and support.
What you’ll be doing:
1. The Senior Full Stack developer will be splitting their time initially 60% -40% between Frontend and Backend. As the team grows there will be the option to specialise in either Frontend or Backend.
2. Creating a deploy scalable and secure applications.
3. Provide guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team.
4. Lead projects from a software engineering perspective.
5. Finally this role offers the possibility of line management responsibilities in the future.(1 -2 direct reports)
What you can bring:
6. Expertise in express and React ,express, node js and Typescript
7. Experience working with oath2 (AWS Cognito or Azure AD B2C)
8. Experience in testing using Vitest, Jest, react-testing-library
9. Experience with react state management (preferable redux-toolkit or Zustand) and packages like (react-hook-form and react-query)
10. Working knowledge with either MySQL or PostgreSQL
11. Proven track record on deploying webapps on the Cloud preferably Azure.
12. Experience with Pub/Sub systems and event driven architecture (nice to have)
