Overview
Our client is seeking a Fundraising & Communications Manager to lead efforts in securing vital income and strengthening public visibility. The role can be delivered as a single full-time post or split into two part-time positions: Fundraising Manager (3 days/week) and Communications Manager (2 days/week).
This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of over £1.5m in annual fundraising while enhancing the organisation’s profile and communications strategy. The postholder will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission to create and sustain community-led green spaces that improve wellbeing in central London.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Manager (approx. 60% of role if full-time)
* Manage a pipeline of trusts, foundations, and statutory funders.
* Research and secure new funding opportunities.
* Develop targeted and compelling applications for both restricted and unrestricted income.
* Deliver effective donor stewardship, reporting, and relationship management.
* Support impact measurement and peer review internal proposals.
* Collaborate with colleagues to gather project data for bids and reports.
* Support the Chief Executive in corporate and individual donor engagement.
* Work with finance colleagues to track restricted funds and ensure compliance.
* Maintain accurate records and database entries.
Communications Manager (approx. 40% of role if full-time)
* Lead communications, PR, and marketing strategy.
* Manage brand consistency across all platforms and outputs.
* Oversee content creation for social media, newsletters, press, and publications.
* Coordinate website updates with developers, ensuring relevance and impact.
* Produce engaging copy for campaigns, projects, and community programmes.
* Build and maintain press contacts and manage media outreach.
* Develop marketing materials and communications calendars.
* Maintain well-organised records of contacts, images, and communications data.
Candidate Profile
* Proven track record in fundraising and/or communications within the charity or non-profit sector.
* Strong writing skills with the ability to produce persuasive funding bids and engaging content.
* Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
* Creative approach to communications and digital engagement.
* Strong organisational and project management capabilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a small team environment.

General Details
* Base pay range: Salary £37,254 – £43,829 per annum (depending on experience)
* Location: Hybrid, London
* Contract: Full-time or part-time (option to split into two roles)
