PRESS OFFICER ROLE

Self-Portrait is looking for a dynamic and experienced Press Officer to support the brand’s global communications activity. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role ideal for a candidate with strong media instincts, international contacts, and an energetic approach to storytelling. You will be responsible for the daily running of the press office, delivering creative, non-traditional PR executions, and ensuring the brand is consistently featured in key titles across fashion, culture, lifestyle and digital platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing brand with an international presence, working closely with the PR Director and wider teams to amplify campaigns, events and product launches across markets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the day-to-day running of the global press office: manage sample requests, send-outs, media enquiries, press releases, and coverage tracking

* Execute dynamic PR initiatives across markets with a modern approach

* Proactively pitch to fashion, lifestyle, and digital press, securing consistent, high-

impact coverage

* Cultivate strong relationships with editors, stylists, journalists, influencers and key

opinion leaders, both in the UK and internationally

* Support the rollout of seasonal campaigns, collection launches and global events

* Collaborate with internal teams including social, e-comm and wholesale, to ensure

PR activity is aligned and timely

* Liaise with external agencies where relevant, ensuring consistent brand messaging

and deliverables.

* Maintain press lists, coverage reports and media contact databases

Requirements:

* 4-5 years of experience in a PR or press office role within the fashion industry

* A strong and up-to-date network of media contacts across fashion, lifestyle, and

digital platforms

* Experience working with international (or at minimum European) markets

* Demonstrated ability to generate earned coverage that drives conversation and

brand awareness

* Strong knowledge of digital and social-first media outlets and how to work with them

effectively

* Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

environment

* Proficiency in French, Spanish or Italian is a plus

* A collaborative mindset and an instinct for spotting opportunities beyond the

traditional press cycle
