Business Development Manager- Property& Legal Services
Opal Hire is delighted to be leading the search on behalf of our Manchester client- a dynamic legal services provider, acting as the vital link between estate agents and conveyancing solicitors. With offices in Manchester, London, Birmingham, and Leeds, and part of a wider group employing over 200 people across 7 law firms, they offer a streamlined legal solution for property transactions — ensuring both buyers, sellers and agents have a smooth, singular point of contact.
The Role:
We are looking for a high-energy Business Development Manager to drive partnerships with estate agencies across the UK. This is a role suited to someone with a strong estate agency sales background, someone who understands the property transaction journey inside and out.
You'll be helping estate agents enhance their customer experience by offering them access to our clients end-to-end conveyancing services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and manage a pipeline of estate agency partners across the UK.
* Contact sales managers and branch managers to introduce and sign them up to the services.
* Present the benefits of using the service— an easy, streamlined solution for both buyers, sellers and agents.
* Manage onboarding of new agencies, maintain ongoing relationships, and ensure smooth service delivery.
* Report daily to the General Manager.
* Grow your portfolio to around 100 active estate agency clients and manage ongoing relationships.
* As the client base grows, help to build and manage a small team to support account management and growth.
* Maintain regular communication and site visits as necessary to strengthen partnerships.
What you’ll need to be successful:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in residential property sales.
* Strong sales progression experience — you must understand the legal and conveyancing processes.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Comfortable working autonomously whilst being part of a team.
* Someone who can sell consultatively in a smart, strategic operator.
* Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (Manchester offices and home-based work).
* Ability to eventually manage and scale a small client management team.
* Highly organised with strong follow-up and reporting skills.

Basic Salary: £40,000–£55,000 with a realistic OTE of £100k
