The Company
Our client is a European market leader in the design and manufacture of drainage systems, with a long-standing reputation for innovation and quality. With significant investment plans and a strong UK presence, they’re looking to strengthen their team with a high-calibre sales professional in the North West.
The Role
As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting a full range of linear and channel drainage systems. Typical projects include car parks, sports facilities, airports, and major road schemes.
You will sell directly to:
* Civil Engineers
* Civil / Main Contractors
* Groundworkers
You’ll also work closely with national and independent civils merchants (e.g., Keyline, Burdens, Huws Gray, JDP) to ensure smooth back-selling and project fulfilment. This is a highly successful and well-performing territory.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone with:
* A background in civil engineering, drainage, or construction-related sales
* Experience working with contractors on major projects
* Strong knowledge of the civils merchant network
* A project-focused, solution-selling approach rather than a purely transactional sales style
Experience working for a civils merchant and selling into contractors could also be of interest if you’ve made the transition to field sales.
The manager is open-minded and looking for someone who brings energy, ambition, and relevant industry knowledge.
