Dale Community Primary School is a large, vibrant primary school in Derby with 549 pupils aged 4-11. We are federated with Stonehill Nursery School and are located in the heart of the city. We are a well-established and popular school with rising standards and a happy, enthusiastic school community. Our children are eager to learn, and our staff are committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.
Oracy is a key priority at Dale Community Primary School. We believe that strong speaking and listening skills are fundamental to children's learning, confidence, and future success. As our Oracy Lead, you will champion oracy across the school, developing staff expertise, embedding high-quality talk in every classroom, and ensuring all children have the opportunity to become confident, articulate communicators.
You will:

• Share your love of oracy with staff and pupils and drive the improvement of standards in oracy across the school

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, build and maintain strong relationships with children, staff, parents and carers, governors and the wider local community
