The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Winwick area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team.
*Drivers need to be available for immediate start after completion of assessment*
Hours:
* Afternoons - Across Sunday to Saturday (weekends included) - 13:00pm onwards start
* Nights - Across Sunday to Friday (weekends included) - 22:00pm - 03:00am starts
Pay Rate:
* Afters - £15.10 per hour, rising to £15.80 after 12 weeks
* Nights - £16.56 per hour, rising to £17.26 after 12 weeks
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
* Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
* Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
* Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
* Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
* Full UK driving license with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
* Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
* No more than 6 points on license (minor offences only).
* Full understanding of WTD legislation.
* Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
* Excellent communication skills.
* A safety-first mindset.
