Barnardo's is collaborating with the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care System (ICS) to implement a new service aimed at reducing inequalities within Maternity Services.
Maternity, Neonatal Voices Partnerships (MNVP) will need to include and listen well to women, birthing people, and families from backgrounds that tend to experience poorer outcomes, including black, Asian, and ethnic minority women, as well as women from deprived areas.
As a Locality Engagement Co-ordinator, a key focus will be on how we can best reach marginalized groups and co-produce with these communities in a meaningful and authentic manner, in collaboration with various external stakeholders.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, and enthusiastic coordinator to be part of this fast-paced, high-quality program, driving the initiative with external partners. Local knowledge and lived experience of Maternity and Neonatal Services within the last 5 years are essential. There are two roles available, covering Peterborough/Hinchingbrooke and Cambridge.
This opportunity is primarily remote, but the successful candidate must be willing to travel across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and the wider central region, and should have a driving license and access to a vehicle for business purposes.
Although the contract is permanent, please note it is currently funded until 1st July 2027. If funding is not extended, the role may be subject to redundancy procedures or TUPE transfer. The contract is due to expire on 1st July 2027.
