Outside Processing (OSP) Production Planner
As an Outside Processing (OSP) Production Planner, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating material flow from raw forgings through finished machined parts via the Outside Processing (OSP) / outsourcing supply chain. You will work closely with sourcing and procurement teams to ensure purchase orders are in place, material is released on time, and machining activities are tracked in line with ERP priorities and execution plans.
Responsibilities
* Supporting production by coordinating the release of work orders and move orders, and maintaining commitment dates for all OSP‑machined items.
* Maintaining the OSP tracker on a daily basis to drive actions related to material issue, date updates, and system alignment.
* Working closely with the sourcing team to ensure correct priorities are set and highlighting any PO pull‑in requirements to support execution plans.
* Sharing visibility of forging status with sourcing teams to enable PO date updates aligned to latest material availability.
* Owning planner codes and being responsible for all OSP‑machined items within scope.
* Collaborating with the OSP Master Scheduler to ensure adherence to the master schedule, particularly for critical items aligned to defined machining slot plans.
* Creating work orders and OSP purchase requisitions within defined planning windows to ensure sourcing visibility and optimal cost and lead‑time outcomes.
* Reporting progress, risks, and issues to the Production Control Leader and Material Planning Leader to enable functional escalation and support.
* Liaising with manufacturing engineers to ensure routings are completed on time to support accurate OSP requisitions and defined work scopes.
* Maintaining work‑order commitment dates for all OSP machining items based on purchase‑order dates provided by sourcing.
* Reporting status and actions during Weekly Tollgate and MSOW meetings to ensure on‑time delivery.
Qualifications
* Be able to work independently and define production priorities based on stakeholder needs.
* Lead execution planning for OSP‑machined items globally.
* Be proficient in using Oracle ERP and associated reports to identify material risks and drive pull‑in actions.
* Be highly proficient in Excel to manipulate, analyze, and present data to stakeholders.
* Have prior experience in planning or procurement roles (desirable).
* Demonstrate strong stakeholder‑management skills and data‑driven decision‑making capability.
* Create and maintain effective execution rhythms across functions to ensure actions are driven to meet project and schedule requirements.
