Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
* Create and develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
* Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Train new kitchen staff on culinary techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
* Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
* Previous experience in restaurant settings is highly desirable.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire teamwork and foster a positive work environment.
