Job Description
The North East team is experiencing growth due to increased client demand. We are looking for experienced and aspiring project managers to join our supportive team.
Working across prestigious infrastructure projects in sectors like transportation (rail/aviation), highways, and utilities, you will diversify your project experience. Our clients are industry leaders in change, and we welcome individuals at various career stages to explore what Turner & Townsend offers.
Main Purpose of Role
To lead project management commissions, managing end-to-end service delivery, often on large or complex projects.
To serve as the primary client interface, ensuring objectives are met and projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Scope
Project Managers handle commissions of varying sizes, typically between £10m and £25m. Advisory services, such as urban re-generation funding, may involve larger projects.
Key Accountabilities
* Providing strategic advice at project inception to achieve client objectives.
* Defining project requirements and success criteria.
* Establishing project governance, processes, and systems.
* Creating and maintaining project schedules and plans.
* Managing project development according to plans and targets.
* Developing resource and procurement plans.
* Leading cross-functional project teams.
* Monitoring performance using KPIs and managing changes.
* Managing budgets and controlling costs.
* Facilitating communication between the team and client.
* Identifying and mitigating project risks.
* Preparing progress reports.
* Engaging with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
* Advising on Health & Safety and Environmental issues.
* Managing quality, safety, health, and environmental standards.
Qualifications
* NEC (3/4) accreditation preferred.
* Chartered/qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, etc., preferred.
* Degree in a construction-related subject is ideal.
