Role Overview
A brilliant opportunity has arisen for two experienced Recovery Workers to join a dynamic and impactful criminal justice substance misuse service in Brighton. This full-time locum role offers 37.5 hours per week at an hourly rate of £23, providing both security and flexibility. You will work closely with individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency, supporting them through structured interventions, harm-reduction work, and personalised recovery planning.

Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do
* Manage and support a caseload of clients with drug and/or alcohol dependency needs.
* Carry out comprehensive and ongoing risk assessments.
* Create, implement, and regularly review individualised recovery care plans.
* Deliver 1:1 keywork sessions and structured interventions.
* Provide harm-reduction advice and support focused on drugs and alcohol.
* Work collaboratively with partner agencies, criminal justice services, and wider community teams.
* Maintain accurate, clear, and timely case notes and records.
Requirements / Candidate CriteriaEssential
* DBS on the Update Service.
* Proven experience in substance misuse, particularly drugs and alcohol.
* Strong caseload management and keyworking experience.
* Solid understanding of harm-reduction principles and recovery models.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and documentation skills.
Desirable
* Experience working in criminal justice or probation-linked substance misuse services.
* Knowledge of Brighton’s local substance misuse pathways and partner agencies.
