SEN Teacher with Maths Specialism – The Holden School, Leigh, WN7 4SB
Salary: Up to £37,000 per annum • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday • Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only • UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.
Join our growing team as part of Acorn Education, within Outcomes First Group. You will contribute to delivering a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach to education and support students aged 5 to 16 with diverse needs.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality SEN teaching with a Maths focus, using practical, manipulatives to build students’ confidence in Maths.
* Understand and apply a relational and therapeutic approach to support students, recognising that behaviour is communication.
* Collaborate with Class Teams, Pastoral Team and Therapists to ensure individualised learning plans and successful outcomes for pupils.
* Be proactive, resilient and committed to striving for excellence, placing students first in every aspect of school life.
* Engage in opportunities for professional development and, where appropriate, contribute to leadership roles (e.g., Subject Lead) to strengthen the Mathematics curriculum.
Qualifications
* QTS
* Degree in a relevant subject
Requirement: UK QTS or equivalent
